So how did it all start?

How does anything really start, things rather creep up on you and before you know it you are actively doing something to help others.  We have been travelling around India for over 25 years first as travellers and then with our travel company.    Over the years we have come accross many heartwrenching and deserving causes.  But we have come to realise that at the heart of most of the problems  and difficulties lies lack of education and skills training. But when met with opportunity and facility these problems can be overcome.    

Where as we in the west tend to take education for granted this is definitely not the case in India.  It is something many children still desperately want and need if they are to improve their lives and prosper. It is true that India is now moving on apace and rapidly catching up with the west in respect of their business and computer skills but there are nonetheless many others who need outside help if they are to be the best they can be.  Not only children who need to learn, but also children with learning difficulties.

Equally, many women who have families early on in life have received no education or skills training which continues to fuel family poverty.  We believe that by educating and  helping children together with giving women skills training this need no longer be the case.

We consider ourselves fortunate and honoured to be able to help three such projects in India.
